Highlight Video: Sophomore Cohort Creativity Challenge
In September, the sophomore class participated in the first ever Cohort Creativity Challenge. They had to use their creative, leadership and team building skills to build bikes, bears, and boats - many of which were donated to two NYC charities. Click here to watch the highlights on facebook!

Schedule Your Senior Portraits
It's that time again! Senior Portraits for the Class of 2011 will be taken October 18-22 in the Tisch Hall 3rd floor Miller Lounge. It is important that you schedule your appointment now by logging onto the scheduling site (enter school code 87149) or by calling 800-OUR-YEAR, during business hours.

Your Photo on the Dean's Holiday Card
Stern students are invited to email up to three photo submissions with a brief description of each to photo.contest@stern.nyu.edu no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, October 22. They can be abstract, or from a moment you captured on campus, around the city, or while studying abroad. The winner will receive a $100 cash award and will be recognized inside the card. Photos must be high-resolution.

Keep Our Classrooms in Good Condition
A well-maintained classroom environment is integral to the teaching and learning experience, and requires a shared commitment by all members of the Stern community to take good care of our recently renovated space. This semester we have received reports from faculty that some students have been disconnecting AV equipment and leaving trash in the classrooms during the evening hours. Unfortunately, this is leaving our classrooms in unusable condition for morning classes, which infringes on the rights of both students and faculty in these classes. Please do your part by making sure all classrooms are left in the condition in which you find them (or better). Thank you for your help.

The Craft and Commerce of Cinema: The Tribeca Film Festival
In this 2 credit Spring semester course (C55.0051), students receive an all-access pass to the Tribeca Film Festival and have the opportunity to interact with filmmakers and festival executives. Click here to watch a video of the class experience. This course is for juniors and seniors and can count towards a marketing major, the BEMT minor or the EMT specialization. Applications are due on Wednesday, October 20.  For more information and a copy of the application, please contact Chris Gu (cgu@stern.nyu.edu). Only 25 students will be able to register.

Manage Your Own Global Company This January
This winter, Stern will offer a course that connects students from over 20 different nationalities spread across 5 continents in a real-time business simulation called VIBu RealGame. Student teams will build, buy, and sell mock electronics to try and establish a profitable business within a limited time frame. The course, taught by Professor Jeffrey Younger, is called Virtual Team Communication in International Business: An Online Experiential Approach (C70.0008). Check out a video that highlights the class from last year. Winter registration begins Monday, October 25.
