Quick Advising Visits
The Office of Academic Advising will be holding quick-visit advising appointments from Tuesday, September 2 through Friday, September 5. You can sign up in the advising office the day you would like to come in for any available 15 minute time slot. If you have any questions, call (212) 998-4020.

Activate your Stern E-mail
Freshman and Transfers: Please activate your Stern e-mail account today! E-mail is the principal means through which professors and administrators will contact you about important assignments, news, and events.

Honor Council Announcement
The Stern Honor Council plays an important role in maintaining academic integrity in the Undergraduate College. A function of the Honor Council is to hear cases involving alleged violations of the Code of Conduct by Stern students. Last year, a student was suspended for a full academic year for academic dishonesty.

The Honor Council is recruiting juniors to replace recent graduates. If you are interested in serving on the Honor Council click here for the application. Applications may be submitted as attachments via e-mail to hcouncil@stern.nyu.edu or submitted in person to Alice Charney in the Dean’s office in Tisch Hall, Suite 600 by Monday, September 15. 

India Global Study Program
India: Economic Development, Society, Culture, C70.0025, part of the India Global Study Program, will launch in January 2009. This new global study course will take Stern juniors to Mumbai, the commercial and entertainment center of India. Students are required to attend an Info Session in order to apply. Deadline for priority applications is Monday, September 8th at 5:00 p.m. For more info click here

Student Worker Positions for Fall 2008
The Office of Academic Advising is hiring for a work-study student worker for 10-15 hours per week. Applicants should have strong computer skills; some experience with web development and html preferred. If interested, please email your resume and availability to jrosenzw@stern.nyu.edu

The Office of Student Life and Int'l Programs are currently hiring work study students. If interested, please email your resume and availability to tdetchon@stern.nyu.edu no later than Friday, 9/5.

NYU opens site in Tel Aviv
Starting in January 2009 students will be able to study abroad at NYU in Tel Aviv. Get more information on NYU's study abroad website.
