Stern Announces Baccalaureate Keynote Speaker
We are pleased to announce that Stern Board of Overseers member, Paul Tanico (BS
'77), has been named the 2011 Stern Baccalaureate Keynote Speaker and Abraham L. Gitlow Award
recipient. Paul is the founder and managing principal of New York-based hedge fund firm CastleRock
Management. Prior to this, Paul was an analyst at David J. Greene and Company, and later became a
partner at Atlanta Sosnoff, Neuberger Berman, and Omega Advisors.
Baccalaureate Ticket Announcements for Graduating Seniors
Last Chance to RSVP: In order to pick up your candidate and guest tickets, you must RSVP via Campus Groups. Student Life has
been very flexible in accepting late requests to RSVP up until this point. In turn, the link will
permanently close on Monday, April 11 at midnight due to capacity restrictions of
the venue. After this point, all students who did not RSVP will be put on a waitlist without guarantee of being able to obtain tickets and participate in the ceremony.
Ticket Pick Up: Students who have RSVP'd can pick up their baccalaureate candidate and guest tickets this week during common hour (12:30-1:45 p.m.) in the Tisch Hall Lobby. You must have your NYU student I.D. to pick up your tickets. For questions, e-mail studentlife@stern.nyu.edu
Stern Students Win Red Bull Soccer Tournament
On April 3rd, Stern students Alexis Suberville, Juan Arenas, David Strider,
Alejandro Batista, Avinash Nagaraja, Doneci Kone, and Ricardo Oliveri, and fellow NYU student
Horacio Gonzalez, competed in the Spot 5 Red Bull soccer tournament at Columbia University.
After playing through 5 competitive rounds of soccer against other teams from Columbia and NYU, the
NYU Galacticos team took home first place. Go Stern!
Attention Juniors: Submit Your ISP Photos
All juniors who traveled on ISP are encouraged to send in their best ISP pictures for the
International Business Association's annual photo contest. Submissions should be sent to
iba@stern.nyu.edu with a caption, place of capture, and
your contact info by Monday, April 11 at midnight for the chance to win a Visa
gift card.
Seniors Pictures Wanted
As graduation quickly approaches, the Office of Student Life wants your pictures for a graduation
video and other publications. Please send everything from freshman year (CLP, Orientation),
greater NYC experiences, club activities, study abroad, student events, or anything else that has

Interested in a summer course? It's not too late to sign up. Several Stern core courses are among

classes in New Albert.
Fall 2011 Registration
Fall registration will begin next Tuesday, April 26. Be sure to check the New Albert for your registration appointment time and to begin planning your fall classes.
EMT and Entrepreneurship Specializations
Graduating seniors who have been pursuing a specialization in either Entertainment, Media and Technology or Entrepreneurship should fill out the application available online and submit it to the front desk at the Undergraduate Advising Office (6th floor of Tisch) by Monday, April 18. Please note that specialization designations do not appear on your final transcript. By turning in your application, you will receive a certificate indicating your completion of the specialization.
Senior Reflection Interviews
As your time at Stern comes to a close, set up an appointment to meet with an adviser to reflect
on your experiences and think of ways we can continue to make our school even better for future
