Nobel Laureate Michael Spence Joins Stern
We’re pleased to announce that A. Michael Spence, a Nobel Laureate, will join Stern as Professor of Economics on September 10, 2010 from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. Spence, whose scholarship focuses on economic policy in emerging markets, the economics of information, and the impact of leadership on economic growth, is Chairman of the independent Commission on Growth and Development, a global policy group focused on strategies for producing rapid and sustainable economic growth, and reducing poverty. Stern Scholarship Opportunities
Each year, through the generosity of alumni and corporate donors, we distribute special scholarships to deserving matriculated students at the Stern School. Selection is based on criteria established with the donors and the School. Please click here to see the complete list of available scholarships, their criteria and to apply. Applications are due by Wednesday, March 3. You must submit information online and via hardcopy for each scholarship for which you are applying. Unofficial transcripts, which can be printed from Albert, and the hard copies of the applications should be delivered to the attention of Diann Witt, Tisch Hall, Suite 600.

Take the Universum Survey
Take 15 minutes of your time and let your future employers understand your career goals and priorities. The Universum Survey covers 300,000 respondents in 24 countries and is the world's biggest student research study about career expectations and ambitions. Companies will only see the collective New York University results, and your participation/identity will be kept confidential. Participants will be entered into the Universum 2010 Sweepstakes for a chance to win scholarships and other prizes. Take the survey here.

Dean's Senior Dinners
We’re pleased to announce a new series for seniors-only, to give graduating students an opportunity to talk about their experiences at NYU as well as their plans and ideas for the future with the School’s leadership. Dean Blount and Dean Greenbaum will host the series of dinners over the course of the spring semester at local restaurants.
Space will be limited to 8 people per dinner to keep the discussion intimate.  Students will be selected at random and notified one week before each event.
