Senior Dinners with the Deans
Dean Choi and Assoc. Dean Greenbaum will be hosting monthly dinners
exclusively for seniors, to give graduating students an opportunity to
talk about their experiences at NYU and Stern as well as their plans
and ideas for the future with the School’s leadership . These series of
dinners will be held over the course of the spring semester at local
restaurants. Seniors can RSVP through CampusGroups. A lottery system will be used and space will be limited to keep dinners small and conversational.

Seniors: Submit a Speech for Graduation
We’d like to invite all graduating seniors to participate in our annual speech competition to
determine the student speaker at the Stern Baccalaureate Ceremony on Wednesday, May 18. All
graduating students are invited to submit a speech,
which will be reviewed by a judging panel made up of students,
administrators, and faculty. A select group will then be invited to
audition on March 2 during common hour. In the past, speeches have
ranged from humorous to reflective and successful ones incorporate some
of the following qualities:
- A focus on your specific experiences as an undergraduate at Stern
- Embody shared sentiments with your class
- Include key learnings and important life changes you’ve experienced at Stern
- Incorporate parting words and/or an outlook for the future of your graduating class
- Be appropriate and enjoyable for the entire audience (your peers, families, friends, faculty
& administrators)
- Length should be between 3 to 5 minutes (Approximately 750 to 1250 words)
To be considered, speeches must be submitted by email to sternuc@stern.nyu.edu by Midnight on Sunday, February 13. Please
include your email and phone number.

Stern Scholarship Opportunities
Each year, through the generosity of alumni and corporate donors, we
distribute special scholarships to deserving matriculated students at Stern. Selection is based on criteria established with the
donors and the School. Please click
here to see the complete list of available scholarships, their criteria and to apply.
Applications are due by Tuesday, March 1.
You must submit information online and via hardcopy for each
scholarship for which you are applying. Unofficial transcripts, which
can be printed from Albert, and the hard copies of the applications
should be delivered to the attention of Diann Witt, Tisch Hall, Suite 600.
Social Impact Stipend Award Program: Apply Now!
The Undergraduate Dean's Office offers a limited number of individual stipend awards to Stern
undergraduate students who: secure an unpaid internship at a nonprofit organization; participate in an individual or group volunteer community service project; or pursue an idea for a project with an intention to create a positive social impact on their
community. The online application is now available for the
Social Impact Spring Semester AND Break Stipend Award Program. Applications are accepted on a
rolling basis; priority will be given to applications received by Friday, February 18.
President's Service Awards: Nominations Now Open!
The purpose of the President’s Service Award is to recognize the
distinguished achievements of undergraduate, graduate, and professional
students and student organizations for their promotion of learning,
leadership, and quality of student life at New York University. To find

for nominations is Midnight on Friday, February 18.

MLK Week: I Have a Dream

In celebration of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s speech on
NYU campus on February 10, 1961, Stern will be hosting a viewing of
the “I Have a Dream” speech during lunchtime, followed by a discussion
commemorating his legacy and message of working towards positive goals
and changing the world for the better. The student body
will be creating a MLK inspired collage, sharing their own personal
dreams for change. Refreshments will be served.
