A community of scholars and friends

Stern's outstanding academic program is enhanced by an unparalleled student experience in a city with unbeatable cultural and educational opportunities. Our outstanding student body is made up of culturally and geographically diverse students who represent a variety of backgrounds and interests, all of whom share Stern's strong sense of community.

The student experience at Stern is fostered through a range of cultural opportunities, co-curricular programs, social activities as well as active involvement in school - and university-wide organizations.

Throughout their four years at Stern, students have the opportunity to engage in a multitude of activities and events that supplement their academic experience. They can get involved and serve as leaders in such organizations as Student Council and the Inter-Club Council. They may also participate in honors programs, community service projects, business conferences and several social events that include International Food Festivals, sporting events, and the Stern Semi-formal.

In addition to the many organizations and activities, the  Stern Undergraduate Collegeprovides students with dynamic co-curricular learning experiences in wide-ranging areas. For example, living in New York City, Stern students are afforded the great opportunity to take advantage of the city’s unrivaled cultural offerings. Through the Jerry and Adrianne Cohen Arts and Culture Experience, every Stern student is given the opportunity to attend cultural events in New York City, including theater and museum trips, at greatly subsidized prices.
