The Business & Political Economy Program

BPE Program

A program for the 21st Century

In our increasingly globalized society, it is no longer sufficient to simply learn about another country and culture. Now, an educated person needs to understand where new ideas, capital and belief systems intersect and how they are transforming the political and economic landscape.

For students entering NYU in Fall 2009 or later, our innovative new Business & Political Economy (BPE) program will provide you with a unique global perspective that will prepare you for the complex challenges faced by our global society. The program features a groundbreaking
curriculum that combines coursework in business, politics and economics with integrated study at NYU's campuses in three of the world's most important global marketplaces - NYU's Washington Square campus in New York City and NYU's global campuses in London and Shanghai.

Like the core business program, the BPE program combines in-classroom learning with co-curricular experiences. The three semesters you will spend abroad as part of the BPE program will give you a real-world understanding of today's global business environment - there is no program like it. In addition, every Stern student is given the opportunity to experience the richness of New York City life. Through unique programs such as the Cohen Arts and Culture Experience, you will have frequent opportunities to attend exciting cultural events, including theater and museum trips. We also encourage you to participate in local
community service projects to enrich your cultural experience and enhance your sense of professional responsibility.
