As the Yellow core group leader, I became aware of the many issues that face part time students in the MBA program. As the VP of First Year Part-Time Students, I plan to help core group leaders work together to coordinate events and build a strong network within their class. Although I knew the top notch reputation of the Stern faculty, I am both surprised and pleased with how my friends and colleages contribute to the learning experience through their diversity both professionally and personally. I believe that continuing to build relationships is essential to the MBA experience and I encourage new students to step up and contribute to the Stern community through leadership roles both inside and outside of the classroom.

The block experience at Stern allows students to develop an immediate connection with one another. Through common classes and block social events, students got to know each other well during the semester. In my position as VP of Full-Time Students, I aim to continue to improve the block experience and increase the dialogue between MBA1s and MBA2s. I am continually amazed by how supportive the community at Stern is, and I look forward to getting to know the incoming class.

As University Senator, I promise to vigorously pursue an agenda that benefits ALL Stern students. We’ve all come to Stern because of its tremendous brand equity – I’ll be there to protect our brand and ensure each of our investments in Stern pays off. As your University Senator I will be a strong voice, accessible to all students, and an open communicator who works hard for everyone – Part-Time, Full-Time, All the Time.

Carpe Diem! The Stern experience is more than the classes you take - happy hours, beer blasts, global trips, conferences and more. I joined the PTLF so I could help expand and improve the Stern experience for myself and others. As the co-chair for the Career Services committee I will work to analyze and respond to the feedback provided by Langone students on their career services experience. My goal is for the Stern community to feel we’ve made changes to help improve their experience, while those working to make the changes have fun along the way.y decision to run for Co-President of the GMA initially stemmed from my strong belief that there was a significant opportunity to grow Stern’s reputation as a marketing school and enhance the resources we offer. Half way through my second year, I have come to value the critical role the GMA plays in helping members prepare for and venture through the career search process by providing access to a tremendous variety of networking, educational and social events. I feel truly privileged to work with such an extraordinary group of leaders who have devoted so much time and effort toward ensuring this organization exceeds expectations time and time again.

For me, joining the Part-Time Leadership Forum (PTLF) is all about doing things to the fullest. When I became a student in the Langone program I didn't come here to dip my toe in, I really wanted to jump into the Stern experience and activities. There's no better way to complete your Stern experience than to become a student leader in any of the various clubs or student organizations.

I was initially interested in running for the Core Group Leader position because I wanted to give back to the closely knit community that I would be a part of for the next few years. Being a CGL is about fostering relationships between other Core Groups, Part Time and Full Time Students, Faculty, and the Administration; it is about keeping open dialogue and communication lines between interested parties; and it is about allowing ourselves to take a break and relax every now and then. The community at Stern is an intricate web of connections, forming a safety net for innovative ideas, taking risks, and promoting diversity, so it is an honor and privilege to have a role in supporting that community as Core Group Leader. Whether the community is in the classroom, the conference room, or the local pub, you definitely know you are a part of Stern, and will be for life. I hope to see you all in any of those places, but obviously I prefer the pub! See you around Sternies!!
