Course Number System and Credit Value

There is a method to the madness of the course number. Here is a brief explanation of what the numbers mean:

Course Number: ABB.CDEE.FF
A	School & Program (B = Stern School MBA Program)
BB	Course Designator (see chart)
C	Course Level (2 is beginning or intermediate; 3 is advanced or specialized)
D	Number of credits (3 = 3 credits; 1 = 1.5 credits)
EE	Number assigned by department
FF	Section number (indicates time, day, year, etc.)
