Biography
Gabriel Natividad joined New York University Stern School of Business as an Assistant Professor of Management and Organizations in 2008. He teaches the core M.B.A. course on corporate strategy. Before joining NYU Stern, Professor Natividad served as a strategy consultant for three years at fishing, manufacturing and textile companies.
Professor Natividad's research focuses primarily on how the strategic and financial decisions of the firm are intertwined, especially in companies with a multidivisional form. His interests in strategy draw upon the fields of empirical industrial organization and financial economics. Professor Natividad has conducted research examining the real consequences of information and financing, focusing on specific industries such as the motion picture industry in the United States and the microfinance sector in emerging countries.
Professor Natividad received his M.A. in Economics and his Ph.D. in Management from the University of California, Los Angeles.
