Biography
Barak S. Aharonson joined New York University Stern School of Business as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Management in July 2008. Professor Aharonson teaches Management and Organizations and International Business Management. Prior to joining NYU Stern, Professor Aharonson served on the faculty of Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. Earlier, he worked at KPMG in Israel, providing corporate strategic consulting to high technology firms in the life science industry.
Professor Aharonson's research focuses on patterns of technological competition and cooperation among firms, and their influence on a firm's behavior. His current projects examine a firm's competitive vs. co-operative behavior and knowledge diffusion in geographic agglomerations, technological space and networks. Professor Aharonson recently published an article on the Canadian biotechnological agglomeration behavior in Industrial and Corporate Change. Other recent papers appear in Research Policy and Advances in Strategic Management.
He holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from Tel Aviv University, an M.B.A. in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship from Tel Aviv University and a Ph.D. in Strategic Management and Organizational Theory from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
