Biography
Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon is a member of the Board of Overseers of New York University’s Stern School of Business where she serves on the Finance and Strategic Initiatives Committees. In addition, she is an Executive-in-Residence at NYU Stern, where she works on domestic and global strategy, and new initiatives; and where she conducts guest lectures on leadership, restructuring and transformation. She is also a member of the President’s Council of International Activities at Yale University.
Ms. Tandon is Chairman of Tandon Capital Associates, Inc., a financial advisory firm founded in 1992. During her career, she has worked with Boards, Chief Executives and Senior Management teams of more than 40 financial institutions all over the world. She has spearheaded projects that involved major financial and operational restructurings, global and domestic strategy, organizational redesign, core process/performance improvement and broad-based culture change. Her special areas of interest are managing turnarounds and integration of mergers and acquisitions. Prior to founding her own firm, Ms. Tandon was a partner at McKinsey and Company for several years.
Chandrika Tandon chairs Tandon Foundation, which supports nonprofit organizations that focus on sustainable livelihoods, women’s economic power, education, the arts and spirituality. She is an active Board Member of the American India Foundation, and chairs its livelihoods' program, which aims at creating economic empowerment for women and youth across multiple sectors. Ms. Tandon is also a founding board member of the Hindu Community Outreach Foundation, which is focused on providing support services to the Indian community in NYC, through education and senior activities. She is an advisory board member of the Indo American Arts Council.
