Biography
Melvin Taub joined New York University Stern School of Business as an Executive-in-Residence in the School’s Center for Digital Economy in September 2006.

Prior to NYU Stern, he was the Corporate Technology Officer for Citigroup. He chaired the Citigroup Information Technology Leadership Council and addressed technology planning and cross-business technology initiatives. Prior to September 2000, when he moved to Citigroup Corporate, he was a Senior Executive Vice President of Salomon Smith Barney and the CIO of the Global Corporate and Investment Bank. He had directed Operations and Technology at Salomon Smith Barney and its predecessor companies since 1991.

Mr. Taub currently advises the F.B.I. and the National Counter-Terrorism Center on their technology strategies, structure and initiatives. He has worked with the Markle Foundation Task Force on National Security in the Information Age, serves on the Hewlett Packard Board of Advisors and advises several small technology companies.

Mr. Taub has a B.S. in Mathematics from Brooklyn College and a M.S. in Operations Research from New York University Engineering School.
