Rohit Deo is the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for the Undergraduate College, a Professor of Statistics and Operations Research, and the Robert Miller Faculty Fellow at the New York University Stern School of Business. Professor Deo was awarded the 2012 NYU Distinguished Teaching Award. He teaches courses in data analysis and forecasting time series.
Professor Deo has been with NYU Stern for more than 15 years. His primary research areas include econometric models, stochastic volatility, and time series analysis. Professor Deo has been published in many journals including Journal of Royal Statistical Society, Journal of Econometrics, Econometric Theory and Biometrika.
Professor Deo received his Bachelor of Science in statistics from Fergusson College in India, a Master of Science in statistics from the University of Poona in India and his Doctor of Philosophy from Iowa State University.
