Biography

Leah Hanes joined New York University Stern School of Business as an Adjunct Professor in 2009.

Professor Hanes is a New York-based strategy, marketing and business research consultant, with more than 20 years of experience in the areas of marketing strategy and program development, working with executive leaders in Fortune 50 companies and nonprofit organizations. Her current areas of focus include mission and vision development, branding and communications, as well as market research and insight.

Professor Hanes currently consults with the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care, New Heights Research and City Harvest, and is also an Adjunct Instructor at Baruch's Zicklin School of Business. Previously, she was V.P., Group Director for Digitas, leading the American Express consumer charge card business, and V.P., Management Director at Foote, Cone & Belding, working on Qwest, AT&T Wireless and the United States Postal Service.

Professor Hanes received her B.A. in English Literature from Wells College (Aurora, NY) and holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (Stanford, CA).
