Ilan Lobel joined New York University Stern School of Business in July 2010 as an Assistant Professor of Information, Operations and Management Sciences. He teaches a course entitled "Decision Models." Prior to joining NYU Stern, Professor Lobel was a post-doctoral researcher at Microsoft Research's New England Laboratory.
Professor Lobel's research focuses on how social networks affect individual decision-making, pricing of online services and designing auctions and mechanisms for dynamic environments.
Professor Lobel received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Pontificia Universidade Catolica of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and his Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
