Heinrich von Wyss joined New York University Stern School of Business as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance in September 2011.
Professor von Wyss's research interests lie in empirical finance, particularly performance measurement and empirical corporate finance and governance. A recent article of his investigates whether private equity funds of funds can add value as compared to private equity funds. He has also published on the impact of delistings of international cross listings of shares on stock price and trading volume.
Professor von Wyss was awarded the 2009 Financial Innovation Prize by the Swiss CFA Society for the article “The Valuation of Derivatives on Carbon Emission Certificates - a GARCH Approach.”
Before joining NYU Stern, Professor von Wyss was an Assistant Professor at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland. He is the founder of and partner in Algofin AG, a financial consulting company.
Professor von Wyss received an M.S. and Ph.D. in Finance and Economics from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).
