Emiliano Pagnotta joined New York University School of Business as an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Fall of 2009.
Professor Pagnotta's research interests lie at the intersection of market microstructure, asset pricing, and the industrial organization of financial markets. His recent studies examine the effects of speed and trading fragmentation on asset prices and social welfare; the effect of central clearing reforms on prices and liquidity; and the consequences of recent financial regulations on market performance.
Professor Pagnotta earned his B.A. in Economics from Buenos Aires University, Argentina; his M.A. in Economics from Universidad de San Andres, Argentina; and his Ph.D. from the Economics Department at Northwestern University.
