For Students
The NYU Stern Executive MBA program will require you to be out of the office twice a month (every other Friday) and a total of three weeks for residency periods during the entire 22 month program. You must obtain sponsorship from your employer for the time away from the office. Some organizations will also offer financial sponsorship, although this is not required for admission. For more information about how to discuss sponsorship with your manager or HR representative, please contact executive@stern.nyu.edu.
For Employers
In today’s competitive global market, it is increasingly difficult for companies to retain top talent. Sponsoring high-potential employees for NYU Stern’s Executive MBA program will help your organization demonstrate its commitment to employee career development. Other benefits include:
- The Executive MBA general management curriculum is infused with a global approach to business and emphasizes leadership and career development, providing students with a strong foundation in management, which they bring back to your firm.
- Because students participate in the program while continuing to work, they are able to immediately apply what they have learned in the classroom within their companies.
- Sponsorship can be used to reward exceptional performance and target employees for career advancement. It can also help to increase employee loyalty.
- Unlike evening MBA programs, students don’t need to leave work early to attend night classes a few days a week. In the Executive MBA program, students can earn their degree in 22 months, not four or five years, and are out of the office only twice a month (every other Friday).
- Sponsoring employees for the Executive MBA program can give companies an advantage over other organizations that are competing for the same talented professionals.
