Visit Our Campus

Attend an Information Session

If you are in the beginning stages of exploring Executive MBA programs, we recommend attending one of our  Executive MBA Information Sessions.  These are held throughout the academic year, either on campus or at a convenient mid-town location.  At the Information Session, you will learn what distinguishes Stern’s Executive MBA program from others and how it will prepare you for lifelong professional success.  You will also meet other prospective students who could become part of your future network.

Visit a Class

There is no better way to see what the NYU Stern Executive MBA experience is really like than by attending some of our classes. Applicants who have completed both the pre-application and the admissions interview are encouraged to request a Class Visit.  During the day of your Class Visit, you will observe two classes and meet several of our current students, so you can experience the classroom dynamics firsthand.

GMAT Information

To apply to the NYU Stern Executive MBA program, you must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and take the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT), administered by Pearson VUE. The GMAT must be taken within five years of your desired entry date’s final application deadline, and GMAT scores that are not within that time frame will not be accepted.

In exceptional cases where an applicant can demonstrate advanced academic credentials and/or extensive work experience, the Admissions Committee will consider a petition for a GMAT Waiver.

Additionally, applicants applying for entry in August 2010 or later can take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), administered by Educational Testing Services, as an acceptable alternative to taking the GMAT.  For applicants seeking entry in January 2010, the GMAT is the only acceptable standardized test format. GRE scores must also be dated within five years of your desired entry date’s final deadline.

You are responsible for ensuring that Pearson VUE or Educational Testing Services is able to release and send your official score report to the NYU Stern Executive MBA program by the application deadline. To send your official scores to the NYU Stern Executive MBA program, you will need to provide each testing service with Stern’s Executive MBA reporting code.  Stern Executive MBA’s GMAT reporting code is 5TF-HW-50. Stern Executive MBA's GRE reporting code is 4894.

Program Costs

The tuition and fees for students entering in January 2010 will be $137,000.  The total amount will be payable as follows: $5,000 non-refundable tuition deposit due when you accept our offer of admission; the remaining balance is divided into four equal semiannual payments over the span of the program.

The cost includes all fees, books, study materials, meals on class days, tutors for selected courses, and lodging and meals for residencies. Travel costs to and from the two Global Study Tour Courses are not included, and students are responsible for airport transfers abroad on arrival and departure days, as well as any incidental costs locally (such as passport and visa photos, etc.) and abroad.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

This Academic Year 2009-2010, the NYU Stern Executive MBA program will offer several scholarships to applicants receiving minimal or no financial sponsorship.  Recipients will be selected by the Admissions Committee on the basis of exceptional academic and professional performance, as well as personal qualities such as leadership, integrity and community service.  Scholarships range in value from 10% of the total tuition cost to $40,000.

If you wish to be considered for a scholarship, you may apply when completing the online formal application by answering an additional question in the Essay section of the application. A separate essay for each of the above scholarships is not required as the scholarships are awarded based upon the same criteria.  You are eligible to receive only one program scholarship.

In addition to the scholarships above, there are many federal and private loan programs available for Executive MBA Students.  Please visit Stern's Financial Aid website to learn more.
