The First NY Computer Science and Economics day (NYCE day) will be held on October 3 at the NY Academy of Sciences . The goal of the meeting is to bring together researchers in the larger NY metropolitan area with interests in CS, Economics, IS and Marketing, and a common focus in understanding the 'Economics of Internet Commerce'. Examples of topics to be presented include theoretical, algorithmic and empirical work on advertising and marketing based on sponsored search auctions, user-generated content, social networks, and other means of monetizing content on the Internet.

The program includes four keynote lectures from distinguished researchers: Asim Ansari (Columbia), Susan Athey (Harvard), Tuomas Sandolhm (CMU) and Costis Daskalakis (MIT) who will be speaking on the topics mentioned above. There will also be a rump session for interested participants to present their latest research.
