6th Annual Business Plan Competition
Social Entrepreneurship Track -- $100,000 in Seed Funding

The purpose of the Social Entrepreneurship Track of the Business Plan Competition is to provide practical guidance and financing that will help you develop your venture ideas into fundable and sustainable social ventures. Ventures in the social track must have a dual mission to both provide societal benefit and be financially self-sustainable or produce financial returns. Social Track Participants compete for the Stewart Satter Family Prize totaling $100,000.

Participants benefit from exposure to Stern's distinguished faculty, seasoned Venture Capitalists, Industry Experts and Entrepreneurs. The refinement process of the competition provides content-rich feedback to all. The Competition offers a series of workshops to teach the fundamentals of business planning and the unique considerations of social venturing. Students and Alumni are motivated to participate in the Competition not only for the chance to win seed money but also for the opportunity to network with industry leaders who can provide invaluable advice and contacts to assist them in launching their ventures.

The Berkley  Centeralso was pleased to announce the addition of several new mentor and coaching events and that the Stewart Satter Family Prize for social entrepreneurship is again offered at $100,000.
