Alumni Assist in OCD Efforts

The Office of Career Development (OCD) is seeking alumni volunteers to assist Stern students in their job searches. OCD is grateful to alumni who have already responded to outreach for their ongoing commitment to the School.

How You Can Participate:

Work with students: Even if your firm is not hiring, we encourage you to be involved in other ways. One way is through our Career Advisory Program (CAP) in which alumni advise students on industries and career decisions. You can also offer support through student clubs and/or by participating on panels or in conferences throughout the academic year.

To get involved in CAP, please e-mail
cap@stern.nyu.edu.

OCD is also looking for alumni to participate in our fall Career Development Program (CDP) panels. The Career Development Program equips students with the best available resources and tools for identifying career objectives, maximizing job search skills and developing networking skills to facilitate the pursuit of internships and full-time job opportunities. If you are interested in being a panelist, please contact OCD at (212) 998-0623 or
ocd@stern.nyu.edu.

Let us know of any full-time or internship opportunities: Whether you need to fill a position immediately or to recruit a candidate for a later date, OCD's relationship managers can help you fill your open position with the best candidate. Because we offer a variety of recruiting resources including a formal on-campus recruiting process, job postings and resume collections, you can choose the way that is most efficient and cost-effective for your firm. If you have an opportunity that you would like to discuss, please contact OCD at (212) 998-0623. If you have an opportunity that you would like to post, please e-mail us at jobpost@stern.nyu.edu.

Help us learn about growth areas within your firm and industry: While we have a breadth of information about numerous industries, we are always seeking more specific expertise and insight into particular firms and industries so that we can best advise our students. If you have information you would like to share about your company or industry or would be interested in being an industry point of contact to help answer questions our staff may have about your industry, please call (212) 998-0623 and ask to speak the OCD industry expert in your field.

Continue to hire Stern students: Bringing ingenuity, a broad knowledge of world markets and the ability to make smart decisions and solve problems in times of uncertainty, a Stern student is one of the best investments your firm can make now.

Once again, the Office of Career Development thanks you, our alumni, for your continued support.
