Langone September Graduates Celebrate

September 2002 graduates of the part-time MBA program came together to celebrate their scholastic accomplishments at a special graduation reception hosted by the Langone Program Office and the Office of Alumni Affairs on August 28 in Shimkin Hall.

Employers and guests joined the graduates to toast their achievements at the special "Summer Salsa Party," complete with Latin-themed hors d'oeuvres and refreshments. Kim Corfman, Academic Director of the Langone Program, led the group in a celebratory toast. Suzette Lemson, Assistant Dean of Alumni Affairs, spoke to the graduates about programs and services available through the Office of Alumni Affairs, including the importance of signing on to the Stern Worldwide Alumni Platform (SWAP), the alumni directory that lists all 60,000 Stern graduates.

"Having as many alumni as possible join the SWAP online community is critical to our outreach efforts," explained Assistant Dean Lemson, "as it enables us to reach our alumni with information about networking and programming opportunities, as well as important news about the School."

A similar event will be held for the January 2003 graduates of the program. For more information, please contact Kyle Cunningham, Senior Associate Director of the Langone Program, at (212) 998-0592 or
