Stern to Host First Annual
Summit on Global Business

On November 8 and 9, the NYU Stern Undergraduate College will host the First Annual Stern Summit on Global Business at Tisch Hall. The conference, which will focus on the topic of corporate governance, will span two days and will feature two keynote addresses, six concurrent panel sessions and a networking reception.

Richard Grasso, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the New York Stock Exchange, and Domingo Cavallo, former Minister of Economy of Argentina, will deliver the keynote addresses for the conference. Additional distinguished speakers will include Lalita Gupte, Joint Managing Director of ICICI Bank of India, Spike Lee, Director and Filmmaker, and Charles Murphy, former head of investment banking at Credit Suisse First Boston.

The conference panel sessions will focus on trends in specific industry sectors as well as current global business issues. Panel sessions will focus on a variety of topics including: intellectual property and the pharmaceuticals industry; the influx of American culture abroad via multinational corporations; the perceived conflicts of interest in the investment banking industry; and will feature industry panels focusing on the IT, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and financial services sectors.

Conference participants will include Stern undergraduate students, Stern alumni, NYU students and students from other top business programs in the United States.

Space is limited and conference tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis. There will be a $20 registration fee for Stern alumni. For more information, visit the website at
