EBS Launches New Initiative
to Build European Alumni Network

The European Business Society (EBS), an MBA student organization, has launched a new initiative in conjunction with the Office of Alumni Affairs to build the European alumni network.

Following the successful model created last year by the Latin American Business Association (LABA), EBS has established a program whereby representatives have been designated to lead and organize outreach efforts to various European countries. This summer, these country representatives will conduct a phone outreach campaign to update contact information in SWAP (Stern Worldwide Alumni Platform), the online alumni community. Gathering this information will be key to the group's efforts to build the network and to assist Alumni Affairs in strengthening the alumni community. Eventually, EBS would like to cooperate with European alumni regional groups to organize receptions to bring local alumni together.

"EBS is very excited to launch this new initiative," said Esteban Samboal, Vice President of Alumni Relations for EBS and current MBA student. "The alumni network represents a tremendous resource, and as such, we look forward to increasing interaction among students and alumni based in Europe and Europeans based in New York."

If you receive a call or e-mail from an EBS member this summer, please take a moment to chat with the student volunteer. In addition, please let us know if you would like to be included on the EBS mailing list by contacting the Office of Alumni Affairs at (212) 998-4040 or alumni@stern.nyu.edu.

For more information about these outreach efforts and future activities, you may also contact Esteban Samboal at ecs238@stern.nyu.edu.
