Greetings from Frederick D.S. Choi

Dear Alumnus/a:

Alumni activity has been abounding at the Undergraduate College in recent weeks. The annual All-University Entrepreneurship Conference, which originated at the Undergraduate College seven years ago, took place on April 26 with an unprecedented audience of more than 1,200 students, alumni and friends of the University. The event has earned a tremendous amount of recognition for successfully exposing students and alumni to the entrepreneurial mindset.

Our Undergraduate Committee, which has now been in place for an entire academic year, has taken a leadership role in bringing together alumni from the last 10 graduating classes. On May 3, alumni participated in NY Cares Day benefiting the larger New York City community. In addition, on May 29, Sternies will be gathering for a happy hour hosted by the Committee at Metro 53.

Lastly, I am happy to note that for the second time we presented our Connections Alumni Mentor of the Year Award in April. This year's award went to Ashish Contractor, BS '97, who was recognized for his commitment to the Undergraduate College and his active involvement and leadership role in the program. The program, which has grown rapidly since its inception, has proven to be a tremendous asset to both alumni and students.

Enjoy the summer months and I look forward to seeing you at upcoming events.

All the best,

Frederick D.S. Choi
Vice Dean and Dean of the Undergraduate College
