The student-run Stern Women in Business (SWIB) hosts career networking, professional development, community service and social events for Stern's female community. The annual SWIB conference draws more than 400 Stern students, alumnae and professionals from the New York City area.
Representing 20% of the Stern faculty, female professors play a critical role in the School's success and teach some of the most popular, well-respected classes.

Held on campus each fall, Opening Doors for Women is NYU Stern's marquee women's admissions event. It includes breakfast with SWIB members and alumnae, a student/alumnae panel and remarks by the SWIB Co-Presidents.
Each winter, MBA Admissions and SWIB host Spotlight on Stern Women's Interview Day for select women applicants. This premiere two-day event includes attendance at the annual SWIB Conference.
Stern is a member of the Forté Foundation, a consortium of top business schools and companies dedicated to directing talented women toward leadership roles in business. Each June, Stern Forte Fellows participate in the annual Forté Conference. Each fall, Stern participates in Forté Forums across the U.S.
