Greetings, Core Groups!

Core Groups consist of students who are enrolled in a section of either Leadership in Organizations or Firms & Markets and either Statistics & Data Analysis or Financial Accounting & Reporting in the first semester in The Langone Program. In the second semester, students have the option of remaining with their Core Group to take other Core courses. While over 80% of students choose to remain with their Core Group, students are not required to stay with their Core Group.

During the first week of classes, students elect two Core Group Leaders to act as a liaison between the students and Stern administration.  The Core Group Leaders plan events to provide networking and social opportunities for their classmates.  Each Core Group has a $1,000 budget to spend as they choose during the first two semesters in the group.  For a listing of past and present Core Group Leaders, please refer to the following table on Student Activities' website:  http://w4.stern.nyu.edu/studentactivities/leadership.cfm?doc_id=3659
