Semester Abroad
Outgoing international exchange provides Stern students with the opportunity to enroll in one semester of full time study in either fall or spring at one of many graduate business programs around the world. This program is designed to appeal to an array of students with varied levels of international experience. Students choose to participate to diversify their business knowledge base and immerse themselves in a different culture while working toward completing their degree.
Stern is a member of the Partnership in International Management (PIM), an international consortium of business schools founded in 1973 to facilitate international exchange on the MBA or masters degree-equivalent level. Each member institution represents the highest degree of excellence in the fields of business administration and management and demonstrates leadership in their geographic region. Please note that Stern does not limit its partnerships to PIM nor does it exchange with every school in the PIM network.

For more information about PIM, visit the PIM website.

Doing Business in... Intensive Courses
MBA International Programs oversees two week, three-credit intensive courses abroad scheduled in January and May, "Doing Business in..." (DBi). These courses create an opportunity for full-time and part-time students to study abroad for less time than Stern's full semester exchange.
Each course is unique and focuses on how business is conducted in a specific country and/or region. DBi courses cover the opportunities, challenges and issues businesses face and address such disciplines as management, finance, marketing, and economics.
Stern’s international partner schools design and deliver the courses, which leverages their local expertise and relationships. Approximately 15 - 40 students may enroll in each course, depending on the sponsoring school. Please check the course syllabus for specific course details.
